On Hallowed Ground

To finish with the Rucker Park series here's a great TNT show from 2000. I remember how logn I had to wait in queues on mIRC to get this at the time there was so much hype around this. This was the real shit back then!

Sites With Streetball Videos

If you didn't know yet you can watch videos on the SLAM Online website. The Highlight Reel videos shows some streetball games from NYC like that #14 with Nate Robinson for instance. The problem is you can only stream the videos and can't switch to full screen. Also half of the vids is usually some talking. These videos are made in association with Inside Streetball which also has some to stream on it's website. I couldn't display them with Firefox so make sure you run IE to watch them.

Few years ago And1 released a Mixtape 1 to 4 collector DVD and these are the extras from it. Actually there were 33 short clips that I gathered to make a big one.
I have codec problems on my new computer and I think I overcompressed the file a little bit as it went from 700MB to 160MB but it's still watchable. Also I think you already saw a part of this as it takes many scenes from the first 4 mixtapes, but there are some new or rare stuff too of course like this clip where Main Event and Half Main shatter a backboard (I posted it on bangbang.tk at that time if some of you rempember ;)

Yao & Nash Charity Game

Back from Paris with a new computer. The old one was getting too slow and video editing was a pain in the a**. I should have less problems now with Core2Quad, 2GB RAM, SATA stuff & Vista :)

So before I left yesterday, I've launched a few big uploads on several sites and as usual most of them failed. Except the one on Filefront, you guessed it: it's the Yao & Nash Charity Game (see last tuesday post for details).
The video is 700MB, MP4, 1 hour long, in english. I haven't watched it yet but even if it's a bit short for a game it looks like it's full. Oh yes, I compressed the file so hopefully it won't be detected by Filefront. You'll need either Winzip or Winrar (better) to unrar this game.
Other files I was uploading were On hollowed grounds & the eurobasket finals, I should try again today or on Sunday.

2002 EBC Rucker Park Game

Skiptomylou, Baron Davis and Eric Barkley are some of the players from this first game of the season. Skip put on a show at the beginning of the game untill the crowd went wild as Baron "Too Easy" Davis entered the park. Then the showdown could start. Other players in this game include Escalade, Special FX and Prime (Objective?).
This is a 23 mins NBATV recap, not the full game.

I know quality isn't great but keep in mind that rips in 2002 had to be compressed a lot as a 250 MB file was taking much longer to upload and download at that time ;)

All NBA Rookies Episodes

Here are the 6 episodes from this great show.

It's a Spike TV show in association with nba enterntainment about the 2004 rookies. It looks like the ESPN show "The Life" except it follows 6 players (the guys you see above: Howard, Okafor, Iguodala, Nelson, Harris & JR Smith) during a full season from draft day to the end of the Playoffs. There are also rare footages from famous rookies like Pippen getting "friendly" slapped by Oakley, O'Neal spinning on the hardwood, Melo struggling during practice and much more.

After several upload attempts on other servers I've put them on Megaupload which doesn't seem to delete the videos.

Another rare video: Q-Rich & D-Miles playing and hanging out in this 2003 doc.
Synopsis: "Following Darius Miles of the Portland Trailblazers and Quentin Richardson of the LA Clippers, both of whom come from urban backgrounds in the ghettoes of St. Louis and Chicago, respectively, the film asks some tough questions about the merits of making it big as a teenager. I had to convert the 700Mb-previously-banned-from-filefront-video to mp4 so I could upload it elsewhere (megaupload), I think the quality didn't suffer too much.

Harlem Hoops

Digging in my CD collection I found this cool documentary on the Terror Squad team going for the 'chip at the Rucker tournament. It was in 2002 or 2003, I'm not sure.
That's a pretty rare video to find now. I've converted it to mp4 so the file went from 700MB to 260MB with a small quality loss, really easy to upload. I might try to do that again to save time unless you don't like mp4 files.

Russia European Champions

Russia defeated Spain 60-59 in the Finals of the Eurobasket after a very intense game. Russia was trailing during the whole game but staying within striking distance. In the end Pau Gasol missed key free throws, Russia made big steals and Spain was only leading by one. Russian point guard Holden nailed a big shot (luckily). With 2 seconds remaining Gasol then missed (unluckily) his last shot which gave Russia the title.
Kirilenko was named MVP with 17 points in this game.

Yao Ming, Steve Nash along with 7 other NBA players (Melo, B Diddy and the other guys on the picture) organized last Friday a game in Beijin to raise money for chinese charitable undertakings.

NBA Rookies

This episode 4 has been the hardest file to upload so far. It must be cursed or something. I got unlucky so many times with the upload as it failed everytime around 90% of the process or the upload was completed but I had to "wait for the redirect", which never came. The file was originally 700MB but I managed to recompress it so now it's just 400MB and I finally could upload it right on Filefront. Last time I uploaded a Rookies episode there it only lasted for 1 day and got deleted, so grab this one in priority as it might be removed anytime soon.
I'm also reuploading the first 3 episodes for those who haven't seen them since it's a great show and you wanna watch it from the start.

If you're a Dwyane Wade fan you should have this one. He was unstoppable and had a triple double in this Midwest Regional final. Wade led the Golden Eagles in scoring whereas Keith Bogans & Gerald Fitch were the leading scorers for the Wildcats.

Angola-Cameroon

This is the final game of the African Nations Cup 2007 held in Luanda on August 25th.
The African octo champions, playing at home, were the favorites for the conquest of the title, but the surprising performance from the Cameroonians has been causing apprehension from the sport critics. Like the Angolans, Cameroon were unbeaten at this stage and were leaders in the competition in the preliminary and final phases. No need to mention that there was a crazy atmosphere in the Arena.

2003 & 2004 HS All American Games

After counting the votes (and removing the few double votes ;) the 2004 game was in the lead with 1 vote ahead. Since there was no landslide, to avoid dissatisfaction I decided to upload both games.

For the moment the second half of the 2004 game is missing. I've tried 3 times to upload it but it failed every time :( I'll try again tomorrow.


Also, some have noticed that one of my filefront accounts (the one with the Rookies) has been shut down after few days only so grab these videos quickly as I don't know how long they will last.
