Battlegrounds: King of the Court, 2005

Hosted by NBA 2-year veteran LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, this is the third installment of the Battleground series. This season, teams, instead of individuals, from two big cities in the U.S. play against each other to project which city produced the best team in the country. Illinois native Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers assembles the team from Chicago and New York native Ben Gordon of the Chicago Bulls assembles the team from New York.

The documentary is a 6 part series (7 avi parts here though, 230MB or so each).

2008 Quai 54 Finals

Here's the finals between french Fusion team and US Sean Bell All Stars team in Paris last July.
Actually this is only the 1st half of it (11 mins of action), you should know why if you heard about that game already.

Like the previous post this is a game I taped from the stands (I didn't have front row seats this year so some heads are in the way) I didn't really edited it also.
Quality is pretty good, 490MB for 16mins.

Streetball Confidential Vol.1 (2005)

"In this knowing behind-the-scenes program, streetball legend Headache explains and demonstrates a variety of impressive techniques and moves, while he and NBA All-Star Baron Davis talk about their lives, as well as the nature of the sport. Rap superstar The Game is interviewed, and provides two exclusive new tracks ("King of the Blacktop" and "Win or Lose"). In addition, viewers are treated to some rare and dramatic footage from Headache's famous West Coast Showdown."

This is not a mixtape. Most of this video is Headache and Baron Davis talking. There also a part where headache shows a dozen of streetball moves and some (mostly staged) action at Venice Beach with other streetball players including Springs. No BD footage in this.

Quai 54 Raw Footage

Here is some unedited action I taped at the Quai 54 last summer. It's just 30 minutes of average plays I put randomly together as I was too lazy to make a mix out of my 3 hour or more rushes. The thumbnails above show the original video, the one you can download has been reduced in size and quality. In the first game the team in red is the british team, all other teams are french I think. I can upload more if some of you request it.

Germany's Got Game

This isn't new, as you can tell from this mix from few years back. You can see the influence of the first And1 mixtapes on this video but they didn't just copy/paste the And1 moves like many did at that time. I found this video on an old CD Paul Gudde sent me back in 2003 or something.
Paul is a german streetball and was a pretty famous at some point doing tournaments in the UK and stuff like that. He sent me this while he was living in Paris. I haven't heard of him recently. Anyone knows where is he now?

This is originally an hour long mixtape DVD (ripped by BBV team) released in 2005 but I chopped it down to 17 minutes removing all the -boring some some- interviews. The BBV releas was 700MB big, this one is 200MB with streetball (indoor though) action only.

To finish with the Rucker Park series here's a great TNT show from 2000. I remember how logn I had to wait in queues on mIRC to get this at the time there was so much hype around this. This was the real shit back then!

Sites With Streetball Videos

If you didn't know yet you can watch videos on the SLAM Online website. The Highlight Reel videos shows some streetball games from NYC like that #14 with Nate Robinson for instance. The problem is you can only stream the videos and can't switch to full screen. Also half of the vids is usually some talking. These videos are made in association with Inside Streetball which also has some to stream on it's website. I couldn't display them with Firefox so make sure you run IE to watch them.

2002 EBC Rucker Park Game

Skiptomylou, Baron Davis and Eric Barkley are some of the players from this first game of the season. Skip put on a show at the beginning of the game untill the crowd went wild as Baron "Too Easy" Davis entered the park. Then the showdown could start. Other players in this game include Escalade, Special FX and Prime (Objective?).
This is a 23 mins NBATV recap, not the full game.

I know quality isn't great but keep in mind that rips in 2002 had to be compressed a lot as a 250 MB file was taking much longer to upload and download at that time ;)

Harlem Hoops

Digging in my CD collection I found this cool documentary on the Terror Squad team going for the 'chip at the Rucker tournament. It was in 2002 or 2003, I'm not sure.
That's a pretty rare video to find now. I've converted it to mp4 so the file went from 700MB to 260MB with a small quality loss, really easy to upload. I might try to do that again to save time unless you don't like mp4 files.

Ball4real vs Tri State Classic

2 years after And1, it was Ball4Real turn yesterday to play at the Kingdome, NYC, against Mousey’s Tri-State Classic. The team included players like A Butta, Best Kept Secret, Mile High or Total Package. Here's the 1st video I could find on youtube so far, 4 mins of play from the first half. Apparently, in the end Ball4Real team won thanks to a last bucket by A.O.
